Name: Firon Talefein
Race: Drow
Age: 112
Appearance/Personality: Being a drow, he has dark skin, almost black, with silver hair. As an elf, he is somewhat slighter in build than a human. “Frail”, as they often liked to phrase it, yet this is offset by above-average dexterity, as far as human standards go. Of course, as comes naturally with his race, Firon has a natural tendency to look down on just about everything that either isn’t another drow or can’t beat him in a ‘fair’ fight. (It’s never a fair fight if Firon can help it)
History: Born into a small community of Drow, Firon was quickly introduced to their ways. This included learning of the superiority of the Drow race, to always fear finding a dagger in his back, how the ‘best’ way to advance is to kill those above you, that kindness and pity are synonymous with weakness and failure, among their other numerous values that provided ample explanations of why Drow had shorted life expectancies of other elves.
Still, Firon managed to prove himself a useful and capable warrior. This, in addition to the fact that he almost always followed orders without question and deferred to the proper authority, was the reason he managed to thrive. Unfortunately, thriving in Drow culture can also can bring about unnecessary attention and when you have the attention of others, your life expectancy plummets.
Fortunately, before a powerful enough rival to the family could find him to be great enough of an obstacle that it would necessitate his untimely ‘removal’ from active service, he was sent away from his city and culture, one a mission to the surface world in the name of his house. Yet before he had completed his mission, word reached him that his home city had come under siege and been all but destroyed, with most of the families scattered about, most likely integrating themselves into other Drow societies, bolstering the power of the families they joined.
Furthermore, in another unfortunate twist of fate, the entrance back to the Underdark where Firon had first come on his mission from was discovered by a group of surface elves, whom now guarded the entrance as part of their eternal war with their dark-skinned kin. It was then that the remaining of Firon’s group disbanded for their own good, as Drow are much more likely to end up dead when they’re working with other Drow, especially when the original purpose that kept them united was now lost.
After some wandering, Firon came across the Kingdom of Avaren, where he now resides, bereft of and true purpose for now.
