Normal Appearance:
Redem is average sized, only a man of five feet and ten inches, with a scrawny body build from appearance, but has much force behind his hits. He wears simple blood red slacks with a black belt, his deep blue long sleeved shirt tucked into his pants. Covering his shirt is his blood red trench coat, the tail of which breaks into three parts, black straps running down the front two tails, and one strap going around the waist of the jacket. His boots resemble those of a higher classes' leather even though they are just home made Redem has long flowing white hair that is just below his shoulder blades, unusual length and color for a boy his age, his red eyes constantly glowing as though he is up to no good. The one thing that throws people off is his teeth, which are already unnaturally sharp, are filed to a point for unexplained reasons. Redem is sometimes seen wearing a blood red, red-mage's hat on sunny days, the hat keeping all facial expression concealed in pure darkness, the brim being wide and with i triangular shape from the top, the only loose part of the brim is the frontal tip.

-Redem has a gold pendant encrusted with jewels under his shirt...it is half of a family crest that no one can identify, all he knows is that when he was found was a note that said "The other half is opposite and complete, find the noble blood to cut the rat."

Weapons:
Redem has pockets hidden in his jacket that possess many small weapons. Redem's weapon choices are different than most thieves, Redem's pockets possess 10 shiruken, 10 kunai. 2 daggers, 35 throwing needles, 3 sewing needles and thread, and 7 throwing knives in his jacket pockets. On his belt he carries a Red dagger with black glyphs of unknown origin, and a katana with a black hand gaurd, Blood red hilt wrapped in black grip enhancing rope. The blade of the katana is the deepest shade of blood red on Redem, almost black, and there are glowing Black Glyphs that match the daggers on the blade. The blade's sheath is such a deep black, a blackness you would only see on the nights there is Lunar Eclipse.

Magical Powers:
Redem has one ability:

Gust: causes a gust of wind from nowhere into any direction he wants, he usually uses it to pickpocket people by changing the direction of the wind, but he also uses this power to amplify the speed and trajectory of his throwing weapons.

The story of how Shadow Found Redemption.
Literally.

As a 22 year old man, Shadow was inflicted with a heavy feeling of Wanderlust. His travels took him across the globe, and occasionally into it. During the third year of his travels, he met up with a young boy who intrigued him greatly. The young boy was full of unknown potential and power, and Shadow, who could see this kind of thing, decided to take the orphaned and lost boy under his wing. (with a little motivation from Chao)

He found the boy at the age of 7, and for such a young age, the child had already seen and experienced more hardship than most people would have in a lifetime. no sooner than when the boy tried to pick Shadow's pocket did Shadow sense that there was something special about him. it was probably the pendant the young boy wore around his neck, the broken pendant that even over the years, has never come off.

Stranger still was the boy's name; Redemption. Shadow got the chills when he read the letter that was supposedly left by the boy's parents. He immediately decided upon giving the boy a nickname, and settled on Redem. Shadow didn't like to think about the word redemption. He still doesn't.

the letter also came with some strange items. Weapons, to be exact, hidden in a corner of the boy's hideout. There was a sword and a Dagger, both ornately made of dark, blood red material and etched with darker black runes. they, unlike anything else in the hideout, were clean as if the boy personally cleaned them every day, or as if they magically stayed clean. the note had been attached to them, and on it was a request to keep the weapons from the child unitll he was physically and mentally fit to use them.

Shadow told the kid that he might return some day, and to keep out of trouble until then, and left with Chao. a month later, they came back and Chao brought Redem to Shadow's hideout. There, Shadow set upon teaching the boy many of the finer tricks of the trade. Shadow also drilled into Redem with one constant lesson; that of the noble thief, stealing from the corrupt and helping those who work hard to earn their money.

over time, Redem began to mature, and though ten years have passed, he is nowhere near finishing what he now calls his apprenticeship. Just a year ago, on Redem's sixteenth birthday, Shadow gave him the ornate and powerful weapons.

The boy almost killed himself within five minutes.
it's not that Redem had no swordsmanship, for that was the one thing that he picked up almost immediately.
no, it was the swords themselves. they seemed to... bond with his pendant, and Redem's body reacted violently at first.

Shadow spent three weeks allowing the boy's body to heal itself. over the long year that has passed, Shadow has Redem meditate with him daily, Redem holding his "Destined weapons" (the nickname Shadow teasingly uses for them) on his lap. only recently has he been able to actually belt them on and walk around with them.

To this day, the boy's training continues, as vigorous as ever.


Redem has no memories before said day in his life, and the note read as follows


Dearest Shadow De Vaezai,
I would kindly ask you to take care of my child Redemption Jirochi for me, Jirochi is a fake surname and his real surname is only to be known when both halves of the pendant are found. The reason we must leave the boy here is because not only are we poor, but we are also illegally here, we must ask you to also go to the cave a mile north of here and grab the sword and dagger hiding deep in the cave, these weapons will only work for him, due to the magic that runs in our bloodline. He is the last of his bloodline that we know of…please take care of the boy and keep him safe, he is destined to be great, maybe even a great hero. We do not care about how you train him, or when, just keep the blades away from him until he is 16, because his body will not be able to take the stress that the blades thirst for. The other half is opposite and complete, find the noble blood to cut the rat.
Hide him in plain sight so that the ones after us will not find him, and teach him the ways of old. Hide in the shadows, Strike in broad daylight. We actually know that you would find him here Shadow. We saw you coming and knew to leave the boy here. We wiped his memory, so you would not be able to find us. Do not try looking for us either Shadow, the hunters will go after you again if you pursue us. Remember all you have to do is care for the boy and raise him correctly.
