Beholding the Ruin

[Thanatos]

Desecrater indeed, this was the reaction he got from many people. Especially those that held their religious beliefs in high standing. To Thanatos, a soul was a soul. if a persons eternal soul was so sacred then why was it that a sorcerer could take control of one so easily.As far as he was concerned a soul was worth very little, in fact, one day his own would leave him, but he was preparing for just that. when his own power took his soul the transformation that this man named shadow had shown him would look like a joke.

"In truth, I did not resurrect a body until I heard others here in the ruins. The most I may have done otherwise would be to look into the final memories of the deceased. The library's books are ashes, and the building itself destroyed there is little I can gain from here now." He said a little solemnly.

"I too can create illusions." He said as he waved a pale hand before the opening in the black hood of his cloak, and when the opening was once again visible, the white skin and red eyes that had looked out before had vanished, and instead his face looked completely with out flesh, his eye sockets hollow, nothing but the solid, pale bone of his skull remained. It was a simple illusion his face was still there but this display had a profound effect on the unwary.

When his had was placed back at his side the sleeve of the cloak had covered it, and as he lifted it to undo the illusion the full extent of the illusion was revealed. His face was not the only thing that appears fleshless. He waved the skeletal had before his face and his flesh returned. "Buut it's only an illusion Meant for intimidation, nothing more."

[Redem Jirochi]

In a light daze Redem heard only part of the words that the person who had healed him had commanded him to do after the healing “…Necromancer….Don’t move until you see the steam…” Redem began to wake noticing that his hat is back on his head hiding his face and his master, Shadow, walked away from Redem’s current position. He noticed that everyone was focused on yet another new person in the group. He noticed his comrades’ had fighting faces on, Redem assumed that there are enemies and looked around for them. He only noticed one new figure, shrouded by his cloak, which he could only see red eyes in darkness.

Redem looked to his master without moving his head and started to see steam coming from his mouth. He thought to himself “Should have known that he would be showing the usual transformation.” Redem knew that this person was a necromancer after noticing the skeletal being standing behind him and noticed it was Shadow who had healed him. He looked to his side and noticed that his sword was sheathed but laying next to him and not attached to his side. He grabbed his sword with his left hand, fastened it to his side, and then continued to stand. Redem then drew his sword in preparation for any attacks the minion or the necromancer were about to make.

Even in the sunlight it was noticeable that the glyphs on his blade glowed enough to show radiating energy from the sword. The knock to the head had made Redem in a bad mood and seeing a necromancer in the ruins, that under his suspicions was in the ruins to look for new minions, caused enough rage to show on the glyphs of his blades. “And my name is Redemption Jirochi, apprentice of Shadow. I am a thief and I dabble in the arte of magic.” Redem showed enough respect to the man to remove his hat and bow with his sword drawn. He then places his hat back on his head, so you can see his whole face. Redem’s usual childish face had now disappeared and his red eyes faded into a darker tone. “From what I perceive from what happened while I was knocked you’re your best bet would be to dispel that puppet of yours and leave.”

Thanatos sighed and shook his head. "Well if keep that sword of yours out, and keep threatening me, I only have a reason to keep this empty husk alive, for my own protection. Once your weapon is back in it's scabbard, And every one else is at ease I'll happily drop the should I now hold." He said in a confident tone. as if he was speaking to some one who was being ignorantly unreasonable.

He looked at the Skeleton. "But with or without this minion here I will be staying until I've explored these ruins to my own liking. I have no reason to desecrate this once living town, I merely seek the wisdom of mages past. You need to stop jumping to conclusions."

[Shadow]

Shadow laughed again. "Redem, stand down. He means no harm. But come, we must go to the city." Shadow exhaled a stream of smoke as he spoke, which hid the mischievous look in his eyes.

"maybe, Friend, we will meet again. Maybe not. But if i ever catch wind of any malpractice on this site, I will come find you first." He laughed again, and Chao growled in agreement.

Turning to Redem, he shook his head. "Kid, Put that toy away and come with me. You'll get your fill of fighting later, then we'll return to HQ so you can spar some more. got it? now come on, let's go."

Turning to Rith, Shadow shrugged. "sorry mate, Looks like we'll have to check this place out on some other time. I hope to keep in contact until then." his gaze went to Napier. "and you to, Napier. Good seeing you all. if you go into town we'll be sure to bump into each other at least once or twice. you know me."

Shadow walked away as he spoke, motioning for Redem to follow. He really didn't like the idea of a necromancer running around so close to the base... but he decided to let it slide for now. It wasn't finished yet, so there really wasn't anything valuable inside it ,and there really wasn't anything there. but... he shook the feeling off. it'll be fine.. but just in case, Chao, go seal it off. Chao nodded and disappeared. there was a rumbling sound from deep in the ruins, and Shadow smiled. good boy. now let's go get some food, eh?

As he walked away he waved to everyone. he didnt bother to check that Redem was behind him, as the boy knew the consequences for not following an order.
