The moon was now full and the sky was almost cloudless. As bright as the night was, there was no doubting that the darkness was stronger in the presence of the towering citadel. And to confirm this a very ominous wind blew through the dead trees that where leafless and dry yet still rooted to the ground.
The trees where not the only dark figure on the ground, One figure moved swiftly towards the Great sanctuary. the figure was a pale, and very gaunt looking man wearing a black traveling cloak. To his back a large Harvesting scythe was strapped and in one of his boots was a dagger. He followed the guidance of the many voices that haunted this place.
According to the dead, he would find a being that could help him on his way to immortality. Something he desired even more than life. Which was not at all redundant. Immortality comes at the price of ones soul. The man knew what had to be done and The person he met here would be a useful means in directing him.
Like the specter he had named himself after, Thanatos, made his way to the Citadel. Eventually he came to the one he was searching for. He stopped and promptly Spoke up to reveal his presence. "Viktor I presume?"

The one called Viktor sat in a large chair of cherry wood trimmed in black velvet in front of a large and roaring fire. The library that he sat is was expansive and well-kept, in stark contrast to many parts of the ruined and abandoned citadel. The scythe-wielding stranger had come as ordered to the study. Viktor closed the book he was reading and removed the spectacles from his eyes. He was garbed in a black dresscoat complete with a silver trim. His armor hung on a rack nearby, along with his weapons and other battle gear.
“So, you came. Very good. I hear you have many things you’d wish to speak to me about. So then, time is money, talk.”

Thanatos grinned and responded. "Time is money, expect to be impoverished, for time is is short supply for those to the moral plane." He was speaking as if the matter where a joke. Thanatos really didn't care about life, or death. Neither mattered, as both could be controlled. There was no true freedom in either situation, and so neither was worth anything. He sought to control himself and wrench control of his will from others. And he saw that lich-hood was indeed very promising for that purpose, and it granted immortality.
Still that was only his Long-term goal. At the present he wanted to Expand his power over the forces of the after life to its limit. "You may call me Thanatos. I am a Necromancer, and I am looking for worth while... opportunities, to use and expand my power. I assume you, the wicked knight, could provide such Opportunities. Have I assumed correctly?" Thanatos said with careful precision. He was careful not to use any words that would lead to the assumption that he wanted to be ruled over. He would aid his cause only if he was not forced to.

Viktor mulled the words of this young villain. Necromancers were all too common in youth. Only the young felt like there wasn’t enough time in life to do everything. The elder knew that there was, but you had to do it right. Viktor leaned forward in his luxurious chair, fingertips placed together menacingly.
“I can provide opportunities. I want to assemble a force of those capable of what must be done. If immortality is your hiring price, then it will be considered for your services. What sorts of utility can you provide a team of like-minded villains?”

The younge necromancer thought about the question asked. Anas well as the offer. the offerwas not what he wanted. Immortality could only be achieved by his own actions Still he had an answer of Viktor. "Well for one, the reestablishment of lost forces from either side to ours. I Can resurrect the dead, and I know a fair amount of curses." He explained.
Also I will not rely on you providing my Immortality, I will gain that on my own, But Books on the art I already practice as well as as chance to gain even more power is all I truly expect to gain. Oh, and I'm too bad at weilding polearms, like the one you see stepped to my back."He added

"Most excellent," Viktor said, grinning. "As you can very well see, my library is filled from floor to roof with the greatest of arcane lore from every city sacked and wizard's tower felled. I am positively sure you can find a book on whatever topic you would like here."
Viktor waved a hand to the archives hence, "Feel free to peruse the selections, and answer one more question for me..."
"When can you start?"
