The opening times were in the window, and she hadn't got long, but Hayzie decided to venture out of the tavern and explore a little. The marketplace was the obvious place to start. She'd need to get in some supplies that she'd left at her old tavern, including material for new clothes, food and, of course, something to decorate her own room with, and make it "Hayzie-fied".
Maybe it would take a while.
Draping a cape over her shoulders, and picking up a linen bag she had made before leaving the old town, Hayzie headed out, taking in the sights and sounds of the place she was to call home for hopefully some time yet.
Admittedly, this market was much bigger than the ones she was used to. Having travelled through towns and smaller cities, Avaren was set to be a challenge all of it's own. "Well, where does one begin?" the blonde questioned, green eyes looking left and right, trying to figure out what was where.

the day was rather bright with the rays off the sun that day. The market wasn't extraodinailly busy and, and all seemed rather well. For the most part anyway. Among the many costomers and salesmen was a pale, sickly looking young man. He was pale for two reasons, He was albino, and he Didn't feed himself that well.
As such the features of his face where sunken and gaunt. The man Wore a black traveling cloak, and and on his belt, concealed but the cloak was a sheathed, 6 inch dagger. The large scythe he usually carried was at hidden in the tool shed of and abandoned farm on the outskirts of town. He wasn't here to make an impression, he was only there to scout out what things where being sold to day. He knew his way a round he had explored the place before, and now he was seeing the exact wears where.
Thanatos, the name the Man had given to himself, was a Necromancer. A mage of the darkest art in in magic. He may had used evil magic, and may have allied himself with some rather evil people, but in truth he was rather neutral. He had only joined the dark side, because they had the means he needed to gain more power. So, when he was a young woman standing in the middle of the road with a somewhat lost look on her face, he felt obliged to help.
"He walked up to her, his hood on the cloak drawn up to shade his face, and spoke. "Excuseme miss are you lost?" He asked, in a rough but polite voice.

Hayzie had noticed someone walking up to her, and immediately took the ‘little girl lost’ look off her face. It wouldn’t bode very well in this instance at all. First day in a new town, and she just looked as if she was going to stand there all day watching the various stalls.
That was definitely not the case. After all, she didn’t have all day to stand around. There was work to be done, and no one else was going to do it.
As he asked if she was lost, the slightest pink tinge rose in her cheeks. “Oh! No, no. Not at all. Just slightly overwhelmed by the size of the market,” she smiled, green eyes looking around again. “It’s difficult to know where to start. Made a list before I came out, but you know how it is. You forget to bring it out with you, and convince yourself that it will be okay and you’ll remember.”
Shaking her head lightly, the smile never left her face. “Thank you very much though, Sir, I’ll be fine.”

"I know my way around some what I just came to price things for myself, If you would like and can point you in the right direction." He said, and then he attempted a polite smile. but his gaunt face didn't help much in that department. "But if you really don't want a guide I won't impose, but you know standing around with a satchel of gold and no idea which way to go may attract pick pockets. It may not be wise to wonder too much without company. He added. He knew that Theives loved the market as it was easier to catch people with their guard down.
Then he asked another question. "I haven't seem you around. do you like or work around here?" He asked curiously.

[sorry for delay]
Hayzie's eyes, still delightfully roaming around the market square, shook her head lightly. "You won't have seen me around here before. I'm new in town - working in the tavern across the way," she answered, the excited lilt still carrying in her voice.
But did she need a guide... "I'm grateful for the offer of a guide, Sir, but I'm in a bit of a hurry, really. Need to get back and open up, y'know? So think I'm just going to do a quick run around and find what I'm after..." No way was the blonde going to mention that she felt a little creeped out by him. It just wasn't worth it.
