Midna was walking around the lake, it was soon to be twilight. This was her favorite time of the evening. Twilight had always made her feel more at home, as if the world were more peaceful. She could not help but to smile, her thoughts, at this time, were quite peaceful. She knew of no other person who loved twilight as much as she. So as she walked along the lakes edge she smiled and basked in the twilight wishing it would stay forever. But she knew that for a new day to begin twilight must see the one before it, to a close.

Tiy had been walking around for a while, and once again she found herself at the lake. Her grandfather and her used to come down here and have a feeble attempt at fishing in a fishless lake. She was convinced that he just wanted to spend time with her, and she knew that he didn't have to lie to her to make her have time with him growing up. She had always enjoyed spending time with her grandfather then, as much as she did now.
As she came to the shore, she saw another figure walking around and she smiled lightly. Twilight was going to be beautiful, she could tell. And she wandered over towards the stranger.

Midna saw someone walking to her and she stopped. As the person came closer she saw that it was a woman. She waited until the woman was a few feet away and then called out, "Hello there."
SHe looked at the woman and thought she had seen her somewhere before bt she shook the thought from her mind, she had just met her today of course.

Tiy saw her stop and looked up at her as the lady looked at her also. She smiled lightly and nodded. "Hello there." she stopped a couple feet from the woman and set her shoes down in the sand. She looked up at the woman and smiled again, laughing at herself. "I can't stand shoes when I'm near the water..." she explained herself.

Midna saw her laugha little and walked over to her. "what is so funny if i may ask." Midna asked politely. Midna loved the feel of the sand n her feet so she was not wearing any shoes. The water lapped over her feet and midna smiled a little.

Tiy smiled as she looked down to see that the stranger was not wearing any shoes, just like herself. She laughed lightly and then said, "Just because we're both not wearing shoes." She looked at the lady before her and extended a hand, "I'm Tiy Memnon." she greeted her.

Midna laughed with her when she saw that what she said was true. She took the strangers hand and said, "Nice to meet you Tiy Memnon, I am Midna." She shook Tiy's hand and then let go. "What brings you out to the lake at twilight?" Midna smiled at Tiy.

"Like wise, Midna." she smiled lightly at the lady before here. She looked over the water for a moment before a question brought her eagerly listening ears back and her eyes to her face. "Oh... I don't know.. I started walking last night and just didn't want to stop, you know? I felt so calm around this place..." she walked up to the water's edge so the light ripples could lap over her feet. "Just a nice place to be at this time..." she smiled, looking out over the lake and towards the mountains in the far east.

"Then you are like me, I to find this time calming." Midna stepped up beside the woman and she closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. "So do you have a nickname, most of my friends call me Middy."

She smiled at the woman as she stepped up beside her and informed her that she was like her as she too found this time relaxing and calming. Tiy heard her ask if she had a nickname and Midna told her that her friends called her Middy. Tiy thought about it for a moment and then looked at the woman beside her. "I guess T works for me." she looked out over the water again and felt a light, yet warm breeze. She closed her eyes and sighed lightly. It was quiet calming, and she was enjoying Midna's --or Middy's-- presence.

Midna smiled slightly, the water was quite warm around her feet and the breeze was also quite warm. "T, other than it is calming and peaceful, why is it that twilight is so beautiful to you?" Midna had asked people this question before but they could not answer it. For some reason people just genuinly thought that twilight was only peaceful and calm. But Midna thought Tiy was different, Tiy just might know the answer. "I know that it is the ending of the day and the start of another, but, why do people find it the most beautiful time. I have asked this question to people but it seems that there is no answer, yet i know that there has to be one." Midna's smile was slightly on the verge of a frown.

Tiy looked over at her and thought about her question. She looked over the water. "Maybe... maybe it's because it reminds people of how a new day starts, it offers new starts for people... It gives them the feeling that it's the start of something new and they can have that chance to start anew and to fix the problems of yesterday with a new day to start a better future..."

Midna smiled. "Yes!, I knew there was an answer. You are very smart and i must thank you, i have been searching for that answer for a very long time." Midna tentivly hugged the girl. "Thank you." Midna stepped back and looked out over the water.

Tiy smiled lightly as she looked at the girl as she reached out to hug her and Tiy hugged her back lightly. It seemed that it had really be bothering the girl. It seemed that a lot of people had unanswered questions and she knew that she had her few, but she knew that if she was patient, she'd have the answers sooner than later. She looked over at the girl again and smiled. She was not quite sure what to say to the girl. It seemed that her answer was all she needed.

Midna looked at the girl and noticed she was looking at her. Midna smiled at her. "Umm, im going to have a birthday party and i was wondering if you would like to come. I havent had one in a long time." Midna blushed lightly knowing how childish she must sound. Who ever at her age has a birthday party? She picked up a seashell that had washed ashore at her feet and she looked at it. It was very beautiful, it was a conch shell. She put it in her pocket and turned to the girl, her light blush returning.
