The sun was beginning to fall in the sky and Bloodwing had finally built up his curiosity enough to explore the city from the human's point of view. Disguised in his red garbed human form that went by the name of victor he wander some what aimlessly through town.
A few days prior Bloodwing had visited the town from the sky and had wreaked mass havoc as a dragon raining fire on every one. The only reason he had stopped was because there was a very annoying paladin making things less fun, and that was also the reason he didn't want to return to town as a dragon. That paladin was one of the reasons he was in town however. Bahamat the deity worshiped by the paladin was a rival god to his own. Though he was not much for religion he did feel in necessary to get rid of the pest.
As he wondered town he came across a church. Some how he knew that the Paladin had been here. So, Bloodwing walked in to take a look around. and a thought came to mind, to burn or not to burn. He grinned in amusement at the thoughts.

The white haired Joanna Magnus was busy within prayer within the commoner's church. The western princess had no express desire to stand out among the people of avaren. Her status, she believe, did not make her higher or better than any other human. Joanna, however, did find that she needed to express her duties as a guardian where ever she went. At the moment, Joanna was not wearing her crown or any other items belonging only to her royal name. She was rather consumed by the idea that the villages under her divine rule were being pillaged and she hadn't known about it for weeks. How out raged she had felt at the time, knowing that the force of her future, the sapphire dragons that her people coveted so were being robbed of their young. Joanna felt for sure she had been alone within the chapel until she stood up. The clothing she wore under her armor was now exposed for the maroon and black colours they were. Her leggings were tied tight around her legs. After Joanna had sent the gods her final prayer for protection on her journey, she stood to her full height and began to strap the tree blades back to her body. The Bronze blades and the long blade of Iron. The smell of iron should have been a terrible smell to any dragon. Holy folk of the Christian reign came with the idea that dragons were demons, evil and vile creatures that their god could kill with holy blessings and charms. How funny ignorance can be to those who know the truth. One of the few ways to pierce a hide of a dragon was an enchanted blade of iron. The only real pity was that there was only one of these blades in existence. Joanna sighed softly to herself, looking up with a start. There was a man in the entrance that had obviously just gotten there. Joanna's senses were already picking something sinister out of the air. Her teal eyes were still fierce though they held no desire to hurt people out of pleasure. Joanna scoured her mind for something to say long before she opened her mouth. "I feel you are a stranger to this land as I am," she said in her goddess like tone. A gentle draft of the building carried the strands of her white hair across her face, the wind ebbing in a motion like it was daring the devil to speak on holy ground. "Perhaps, maybe more of a stranger than I?" she asked. (Bored at three in the mooorning much? )

Bloodwing, the dragon in diguise, took focus of the woman he had not at first noticed. She wore Iron blades. The smell of which made him think of the blood they could shed. Iron was the reason that blood was such a beautiful color. Some dragons where afraid of iron but he was rather fond of it and it's metalic taste.
He smiled polite to the young, noble looking warrior. Indeed, you could say I was a stranger to Avaren and you would not be far from the truth. But i think avaren is even more of a stranger to me. And you are a stranger in mine eyes as well. I am Victor and you are?" He asked there was something about her scent that put him on his guard, though he didn't show it.

"Joanna Magnus," Joanna said in her heavenly toned voice. Her hand came up to brush the pale strands of hair from her face and teal eyes. She flattened out the front of her tunic and shifted her weight to one side. She could smell it, she could smell the burning stench of human blood. Was this man injured or was there more?
Joanna tightened the strap that held the bronze blades onto her body and held the Iron blade in her left hand. Joanna had no need to announce that her status, something at times she wasn't too fond of. Her teal eyes looked over the man dressed in red. Why red?
Joanna began to walk down the center asile of the small chapel to make her way to the door. Perhaps it was a foolish idea of hers that this man was more than a man. The closer she got, the more the smell of blood burned her nose. If it wasn't for the amount of blood, Joanna would have picked up on the smell of Dragon hide.
A smell that was distinct on its own and normal humans couldn't smell it.

Blood wing wasn't cloaked in blood really but the only sorth of bathing he truly did was in a pool of lava. which did clean his scale quite well. One could never tuely get the smell of human blood of however.
This human didn't trust him. He could smell the fear. Yes she was afraid she was just really good at channleing that fear into something useful. Something most humans had to be trained to do. She was on her guard as well. He could see it in her eyes. nad he watched her nostrils dialate and he suspected she could smell him. Could she tell he wasn't human?
Suddenly he recognized her name. Dante had mentioned her. "Lady Joanna Magnus you're the one from Talrin that I've heard about. From what I've heard Talrin is quite a home for graons, am I correct?" He asked, trying to draw her attention away from his scent befor her nose dug too deep.

Joanna's teal eyes looked up sharply at the man. "Yes," she said simply although she didn't know exactly what this man knew. She then strapped the hard leather scabbard for her long iron blade on her back. With a sigh, Joanna got a sudden uneasy feeling about this man.
To her, now, he didn't exactly look like the type of person to go to a small church like this. "Yes, my land is a haven for dragons, but currently under attack. I'm here for help and to retrieve a few things that have been stolen," she said, her voice plesant and well toned. She wasn't about to give anything away to this man, no, not even if her life depended on it.

Now blood wing was interested and if she knew anything about how to sense motive threw smell she would bable to tell that the sinister air about seem to ebb in it's presence. And was being replaced with a mild amount a concern. The dragon where his bretheren and wherther he dis agreed with the ones that abided humans as friends or not he would still fight to protect his race.
"What sort of danger my dear. Does it come from the dragons or is something hurting my... i mean is something destroying both races?" He askwed and then began listening. he wanted to know the nature of this danger iin Talrin.

Joanna's eyes looked over Victor again and arched a brow. The air was thick with a sinister presence, but once she had mentioned the deaths of... fellow.. dragons, the air began to have concern in it as well.
"It's impossible to tell, no one has faced it and lived to tell anyone what it is. I'm always being held back from the fight," she said, her eyes narrowing slightly as she took a few steps back. Joanna, although uneasy, sensed a familiarity about this man. Not that she cared at the moment, this was the only thing standing between her and the door. She didn't want to chance that this man was a magician of sorts that could read everything about a person in an instant.
No, Joanna couldn't risk that. Nor could she risk showing any hostility. "Mind if I ask where you come from since you know about my home land?" she inquired, her eyes staying transfixed upon the red dressed male. How interesting this day was going to turn out to be, Joanna could just feel it in her aching body.

Hmmm... a question he wasn't quite pre pared to answer. This woman was rather intelligent. intelligence was dangerous. He wore the clothes of a noble but he was from no town how was he to put such a story together. Hmmm... "I'm not really from anywhere. I'm a traveling scholar and I've read about your city." He hoped that was good enough.
"Actually, I rather like dragons. Fascinatingly powerful, terrifyingly vicious, and dangerously smart what on earth could be strong enough to take one down." He said stroking his own ego a bit.

Joanna pretended she was convinced even though she was far from entertained by his little explaination. She brushed back her paled hair, brushing it behind her shoulder and out of her way. "Well, then, Pleasure to meet you," Joanna said, just trying to be polite.
Then the question of what could possibly take down a dragon and Joanna nearly jumped. "There are a lot of things that could take down a dragon, this thing just seems to be... otherworldy," Joanna said, seeing the pride twinkling in the man's eyes. She was slowly coming to the conclusion that this man definately wasn't a scholar, he reminded her more of a handler. The evil, creepy kind that was normally shunned from her homeland. "From your statement it sounds like you know a lot about dragons," She stated, hair starting to rise on the back of her neck in apprehension, "I may live with them, but please enlighten me if you can Scholar," she said in a tone that certain spoke loudly of ther upbringing.

Alot of things that can take down dragons. Oh how he'd like to prove her wrong, but now was not the time. "Well, I've always been interested in the fire-breathers. I've sort of made it my calling to study them. I consider myu self in luck after arriving here just after a dragon attacked this place. no i'll be able to study them one more closely."
He gave her a challenging smiled. "You seem intent on challenging my wisdom on the subject, what would you like to know?" He asked her

Joanna bit her lower lip till it bled sharply in her mouth. "I come from a land that raises and is protected by dragons and their handlers," she said, trying to keep from giving any detail away that she herself was a dragon hybrid. Joanna how she tried she was beginning to want to hurt this man.
It was behaviour far beyond her own. She had never been around another person with such a aura like this that actually influenced her behaviour, turning her to something that was not her. She took a few addtional steps back to try and get away from the aura before she did something incredibly stupid, like attack.

Handlers? That word stuck out, and his sinister presence was back. "What exactly do these handlers do?" He asked. He didn't like that word, hander. Humans had no business trying to tame dragons. That this human seemed to find it common place was insulting. Part of his mind was already made up. He didn't like this woman. And now he knew why dante had warned her about the princess.

"The handlers take care of the dragon's every need, with that the dragons give their trust and service back to the people," Joanna explained. The taste of rage was beginning to come from this man. He clearly didn't like the idea of humans and dragons working together.
Joanna took another few feet back towards the center of the small chapel, the aura coming from this man was beginning to fill the room and it was making her sick. How it was getting to her core, in a brief moment her eyes turned from a teal to a sky blue, the eyes of an ice dragon. Joanna quickly closed her eyes as she stumbled back onto the ground.

The energy in the room seemed to be shifting. There was definitely something strange about this human that stood in fear before him. Something strange yet dangerous he felt the fine hair on the back of his human form's neck stand on end. Something that happened so rarely that it was actually unnerving to the fire-breather. As Joanna closed her eyes the feeling of danger getting closer got so strong that the pupils of victor's eyes became slitted in preparation of a transformation into his less defenseless, and more destructive true form.
He held the urge back however.he didn't need to start a war, yet. The woman was on the ground. He took the opportunity to get closer to her, where he could identify her scent better. He was unable to get more information however and he was drawn to ask, "What are you?" His voice had become threatening and almost scared as if he had been backed into a corner, and was ready to strike out.
