Miranda was walking the market, looking for something she could steel to eat. She hadn't had much food in the past two days. Miranda looked about and saw a stand selling apples. The apples glemed in the sunlight and just looked so ripe and tasty. Miranda decided that the apples would have to do, until she could find a sap that she could take money from.
Miranda wasn't sure how to take the apples at first. She had to distract the old man at the stand first. "Hmm, how to do that" Miranda said to herself. "Ah I've got it." Miranda threw a rock from a distance at the stand. One side of the apple were knocked down. As the old man went to pick up the fallen apples Miranda swiped some apples from the other side.
The old man looked up as Miranda ran with the apples. The man Called out "Thief".

Napeir had been in the city for his daily diner, which usually was nothing. He didn't like many of the shops in town, for almost all of them were over-expensive and not of the best quality. Scaling his way along the roof tops he heard a commotion down in the market below. A girl was running down the walkway, slipping in and between people as a old male tried to chase her down. Looking at the scene he remembered when he had once needed to steal in order to eat, in order to even survive. Looking up ahead he saw that the commotion had caught the guards attention and they were moving over in this direction. Jumping down from the rooftops he landed in front of her, for a moment he looked at her with his emerald green eyes. Grabbing her hand he forced her to make a turn into the alley as he shot from the ground and into the alley.

What had just happened? A man had just save her. Not that She needed to be saved. She was still thankful. now she would be able to enjoy her dinner. Apples were most delicious stolen. She Should give this man an apple as a reward. She wouldn't miss one apple.
"Thank you. I Shall give you an apple as gratitude." She held out an apple. " Stop right there thief!" A women dressed like a maid placed a reflective metal scythe between the two. Miranda puled her hand away as the Scythe skewered the apple that had been in her hand. The Woman then said " I would advise you surrender, before your charges are compounded."

"Stop right there, thieves!" A woman had been near the alley, dressed in the clothes of a maidservant. She carried with her a metal scythe made for battle, and looked young. She took her scythe, and dropped the end to the ground in between the two thieves, as they seemed to be sharing the spoils of their endeavor. She caught the apple that the girl was offering to the man with uncanny precision. Glaring angrily at them, she added, "I would advise you surrender, before your charges are compounded."

Napeir looked at the girls scythe with little interest, he saw no threat in it. He looked the girl over so, not to mean anything rude but just to size up what kind of challenge she would be. He noted her clothing and her stance, keeping them on a small checklist in his mind. He would find out where she came from later. Looking to the girl he had helped he wondered if she was any good at fighting, she might have to be to make it away from this fight. Reaching out he picked the apple off the girls scythe and took a bite out of it, then offered it to then offered it to the girl with the scythe. "Want a bite" he asked her, a smile playing at his lips.
Upon entering the alley a small black cat approached the group, still not letting himself be known he slipped into a stack of boxes to watch from the shadows.

Tori was not amused by his antics. In fact, they irritated her. She wasn't about to stand for this. "Surrender, thieves." She picked up the blade of her scythe and placed it in front of the man that had just offered her a stolen apple. Honestly, what did people think of the church, these days? Was everyone under the impression that they were liars, cheats and crooks? "In the name of our god, the god of Avaren, you will surrender, or you will die. This is your final warning. You may yet find a merciful punishment, thieves."

Napeir laughed, not a mean or evil laugh but a laugh non the less. Taking another bite out of the apple he reached behind him and swung his scythe out, both blades scared with the images of a fierce lion. The handle marked with the bodies of felines with their claws outstretched. "Well I take it your a woman of god then" he said with a frown "In the name of your god, huh. If we don't steal we die, I myself had to live off thievery as a child. I had no parents, they both died in the war. The church wanted nothing to do with me, I actually used to be a believer in your god. So much for your god watching over all, he willed me to die for no sin at all! So tell me this, how are we to live when we have no money, when not even the church will help us, hmm?" Placing his scythes blade next to hers he smiled, but did not make a move. He knew the fighting ways of the holy ones, he used to spy on them while they trained. Its good knowledge to have, even more so with the uptight Holy fighters running around and trying to control everything.

"Well, then. It seems we have a few false priests among us, then. That must be the reason why I have been punished with misfortune, recently. While I don't need to answer to you, our god would turn away none who worship him. It seems I shall have to do more weeding out than I thought." The thought of priests of her own order turning away those in need was ludicrous. The only way she could justify it was to assume that those that had turned away this poor boy were corrupt, and not truly servants of the god of Avaren. But to steal was also unforgivable, no matter the reason. Also was thus using that corrupt power known as magic.
As the boy drew his own weapon, it became clear to her that he wished to fight. She gripped her weapon soundly, waiting for the man to make the first move...

Noticing her stance tighten he figure that he had no choice but to fight her, she was utterly convinced that he was evil or something. He knew that his blade wouldn't be as strong as hers, he himself saw fighting as a "useless spar between hard-headed people". Twisting his scythe around his eyes retracted to a deep, glowing green. His pupils thinned out to form a line vertically down his eye, around him small amounts of a black mist formed to coat his feet. He knew that in the past he had been called a demon, she would most likely reach no further a conclusion with her being of the church.
Having been hidden in the boxes the black cat now knew that fighting would be reached weather his owner tried to convince her otherwise or not. As he watched his master, Napeir , become enveloped in the black aura he knew that he would be behind his owner. He and Napeir had fought against a demon that could kill this girl in one hit, but he was dead now, thanks to Napeir.
Smiling at the girl he let his scythe fall to the ground, but the hilt still remained in his hand. Twisting his arm the scythe started spinning in his hand, scarring the ground as he lunged through the air. His body twisting he was upside down with only inches between his and hers. Pulling his arm, which had been held behind him, he grabbed the scythe and whipped it around at her.

Tori brought her scythe between her body and the man as he preformed his fancy maneuvers. She placed her foot alongside her scythe, using one of her hands to grab the man's shirt, attempting to pull him face-down into the ground. She was going to show this man that Avaren's god was not something to be trifled with. It seemed that his heart had also been corrupted by the use of magic. How unfortunate, as it seemed so easy for corruption to spread. She felt pity for the poor boy that had never had the chance to be a pure soul. Unfortunate, but this was his life, and a real pity that she had to end it...

Feeling her grasp his shirt he tried to pull away, she had a strong grip and he knew it wouldn't easily be broken. Planning it in his head he let go of his scythe and let her fling him to the ground, letting go off all control of his limbs so that he would hit the ground with little stress to the body. He had little practice in math, but he did plan his chances in battle. He had been foolish to jump strait into the battle like he did, his soul using its true power. His chances had just dropped from 95% to 87.5%. Hitting the ground he let his body regain all functions immediately, even though it had been head on and his head was bleeding he jumped to his feet and turned to face the girl, a light smile on his face. "I suppose I was abit rash" he said with a small laugh. His scythe, which after he let go of it had flown a good distance, lay next to him. He knew which cards he must play to win and planned to do so thoroughly, but not quickly. "I am the same as the great spirit that fills our souls, so I shall show you my favorite form in due time" he told her, lifting his scythe up with the toe of his boot. Grabbing it he slowly started walking toward her blood trailing down his face. "I do believe its your turn" he announced with a smile, licking the blood that dripped from his lips off.
