The day was bright and the sun was just still on it way to the peak of its journey to the western horizon. It had been nearly a week since that blasted dragon and no one was doing anything about the dragon. That dragon wasn't done with the town and Horu knew it. especially now that it knew there was a vassal of Bahamat in town.
He was frustrated and a little angsty, so he had decided to go for a bit of a stroll. As he walked he noticed he was getting thirsty so he went to grab for the water skin at his belt which was tied with his money pouch to his belt. His hands felt nothing there. Both his pouch, which had a good amount of platinum in it, and his water skin where missing. He hadn't been in the alleys that long and he knew he had had his things before he entered this part of town, so the thief couldn't be far off.

Iris had seen a man looking rather preoccupied with some dilemma or other, but rather than that, she noticed a rather fat looking purse. That had to be it. She smiled, and made quick work out of liberating the preoccupied paladin of his platinum purse. She was just waiting for him to notice her, sitting not too far behind him atop some random pile of garbage. She smiled a little too happily when he noticed that his purse wasn't there, and decided to rather noisily take a sip from the water skin in her hand.
"Thanks for the water, it was reaally tasty." She smirked, tossing the water skin back to the paladin, "I'll be seeing you, then. Bye <3" She jumped up, still smirking at the paladin, jingling her new pouch of platinum. She hoped this one gave a nice chase. It was a while since she had been challenged with stealing something. Apparently, there weren't that many people that were hard to steal from...

Horu turned to the sound of the voice. And looked up into the mocking grin of a woman. There was a part of him that was surprised that the thief was a girl but not enough to really show. Why is it that he though men more likely to steal that women, he didn't know. The Idea didn't really make sense now that he thought about it.
She tossed the water-skin back, and he caught it, but he was no longer thirsty. Be fore he could protest to her thievery however she turned and ran. "Hey get back here." He shouted at her as he ran after his money.

"As if!" Was the only think Iris could think of to say, as the platinum paladin called after her to stop. She had just stolen from him, and it was obvious what would happen if she stopped running. "Or, rather, can you catch a middle-aged woman?" She jumped onto a nearby house. "Well, come on," She stopped for a moment to make sure he was following her, "do you want your money back or not? You'll have to do better than that!" Then she took off running a new direction. She wondered how long she could evade him, smiling back at her new found friend.

The thief probably thought she was in more trouble that she really was. Yes Horu was a paladin meaning he valued the law. However he was not a paladin from Avaren, and he wasn't about to turn vigilante in in a placer that may have different laws than where he came from. Also, he was a paladin, and as such worshiped a deity. His deity, Bahamat, was not the god that was worshiped here in Avaren. A lesson he had learned the hard way. One of the priestesses had Threatened him with a weapon just for following a different deity. A deity that was so narrow minded and selfish; that it couldn't accept respect from another deities paladin was no ally to his deity, it was just that simple. So, really, Horu had no holy reason to up hold this cities laws. The Only thing she had going against her is that neither he nor Bahamat endorsed thievery, and the money she had stolen was his.
So if he caught her he would probably just let her off with a firm talking-to. Part of him knew that it would solve nothing but part of him didn't really care. So he continued the chase. Then she stopped and turned and in his surprise he paused as well. Then she started taunting him. Now was that really all that necessary. He guessed not. it was obvious that she was making a game out of this. Maybe she was just trying to find a way to entertain her self.
He smirked back not and as he restarted the chase shouted. "Middle-aged? you could have fooled me I thought only toddlers played keep a way." His voice wasn't as angry as it was before it was more annoyed, he guessed it was okay to play along for a little bit. And it's not like he was running in heavy armor, getting exhausted. The armor he wore was as heavy as leather armor but as strong as a full plate. He wasn't out of shape and it never hurt to improve his stamina.
