Darkness, nothing but the endless suffocating blackness of death surrounded him. It was like walking through the void into another world. His golden eyes where like large lanterns and where the only source of light in the deep depths of the cavern. As deathly dark as it was here, where the light of the sun was completely non existent, he could see where he was. Through his eye was a world absent of both color and shadow. The underground world of the great caverns was in gray-scale to him.
He walked with his head hanging level with his shoulders, and his great leathery wings folded close to his body. He moved his head from side to side, and snaked his reptilian body around as he walked among the stalactites that hung from the low ceiling and towering stalagmites the grew like stone trees from the cave floor. Technically the ceiling wasn't really all that low. it was maybe ten feet high and the cavern itself was about ten to twenty feet wide., and branched off into other smaller, or larger, caverns every so often.
Eventually he came to an are where the ceiling rose high enough fro him to raise his head all the way and he was met with three conjoining caves. He paused a moment and sniffed the air. He was looking for the familiar scent of his long forgotten horde of gold. A horde he had left here many centuries ago and that he intended to reclaim. The sweet metallic smell came from the cavern to his right. He went in that direction, crawling deeper and deeping it to the black depths of the great caves.
Nearly an hour had passed since that turn, and since then he had taken three other turns. Now color was beginning to filter into his vision. After the hours of darkness it seemed as if the walls where beginning to glow an eerie yellow-red. The air in the came seemed to become warmer and thicker, and the scent of sulfur wafted into his nose. He walked deeper and the was got brighter and suddenly the cavern opened up. The ceiling was a good fifty feet gigh and the walls were easily hundred feet apart at their closest and about two hundred at the widest at the base of the large cavern was the source of the light. A thick bubbling broth of molten rock surounded a large expanse of stone. The Lava river was about 5 feet across at its thinest and ten feet at its widest. The dragon knew that the magma came from a large crack about fifty feet below the slag of the molten ring.
In the middle magma pool was a stone plateau that jutted out of the magma and looked like a floating island. on this stone island was a mound of precious metal and jewels. Heaps of gold coins, and trinkets piles of silver, jewel encrusted treasures of all sorts scattered among it all. It was a beautiful sparking mountain and it was his, all his, he just dared some one to try and take it from him, he would gladly hold any thief a few feet above the lava and watch them slowly roast to death in the heat. No he wouldn't let the heat kill them, he wanted to listen to them scream in mortal agony as he slowly stripped the half cooked flesh from their bones.

"God you walk slow," Dante called out from the side of the cavern. Her cloak was across the room over the head of a bleeding corpse, the smell of which was covered up by the sweet perfume of the sulfur and bits of brimstone. "I had to do your job for you," she complained, spinning an odd handled blade in her hand as she leaned against her staff.
The river of lava brightly lit up the room and cast eerie shadows upon the small woman and in turn, she and her staff cast large ominous shadows upon the wall. "You could get a nice tan in here," she commented with a smirk. Clearly, this wasn't bothering her in the least. "I like the rustic look," she stated, turning with a toothy grin at the blood dragon. She was just waiting, waiting to hear him growl and ask how she had gotten in and ask in his menacing voice why she was here.
Since their last encounter, Dante had found the Dragon to be a rather intriguing. Dante's torquoise eyes turned back to the fresh corpse. "Hm, Didn't know what you wanted to do with this unhealthy sack of meat, so I just left it for you and put the amulet he stole back on your hoard," she explained, boredly yawning through a gust of steam.

Bloodwing turned his head toward the sound and growled angrily at the source of voice. then he noticed who it was and and the actual words that she said sank in. "Oh, it's you." He said sounding annoyed. Part of him wanted to dip her in the lava and then see if she mocked him. He didn't care that she was here she didn't really care about gold. Or at least not his cold.
"I took the scenic route. How did you find your way here with out getting lost." He asked. Now that she was here might as well talk with her, and at least she made dinner. He looked down at the corpse. "Aw, you spoiled the fun part of listening to him scream and beg for his life." He said sounding disappointed. He recognized her cloak hanging on him. "If you don't want me to eat that i suggest you find another place to hang your skins."

"You wouldn't have gotten your screams, poor bastard was mute," Dante replied with a sigh. Dante moved over to the corpse and pulled her hide cloak off the body that had kept the body well warm. "Oi, do me a favour before you eat him," Dante called out while hanging her cloak from a rock, "I feel like being cruel and he had a wedding band on. I'd like to sent his ear or something back to his greiving widow and possible children."
With that statement, Dante made her way up onto a large out cropping of the cave that was at face level with the dragon. "Help me do just that and I might just have to kiss you," Dante teased, giving a nice belly laugh. It wasn't a sweet, demeaning giggle like from most of the women of Talrin, but she had a dark and deep laugh to compliment her velvet voice.

"Well i would have enjoyed the look on his dface anyway. I'll be the fact that he couldn't call for help only added to to he terror." He walked over to the edge of the magma pool. and the waded into the blazing liquid rock. The liquid was acuily quite loose kit wasn't too thick and it was perfectly warm, to him any way. The fire in his belly felt alive. here hecould use his fire as much as he wanted and never exhaust it.
He climbed up on to the island, and looked into the pile of gold. he let his fore clwas cool as he looked for what he wanted and with some what cooler claws crabbed pinch out a gulded belt with a jem encrusted dagger and sheith on it. He toseed it over the river, rather easy tack for a dragon, and it clinked as it hit a column of stone. and the hit the ground. "Use that if you really want the ear." He said liking her idea. "You could ad the ring to my collection." He said hopefully.

"already did, I have no use for it," Dante said with a snort as she picked up the hot dagger. She barely noticed the burning of the flesh on the palm of her hand while she cut out an eye and cut off the man's ear. She placed the two body parts in a small leather catch and slid the bloody blade from her own blood and the man's blood across the ground back to Bloodwing.
She tied the little catch up as she heard a boy stumble into the cave entrance. In minutes she had made her way back through the cave and sent the terrified boy off with her little package. Dante sauntered back to the cave before bursting out in laughter. "There are times I wish I knew projection magic, that boys expression was priceless!" she exclaimed.

The jeweled dagger fell just short of the lava pit and Blood wing used his tail to fling the artifact the rest of the way across the river of fire. I landed with a clink back in the pile of cold. He turned and saw Dante exit the cavern. Then, with her gone he looked down at the corpse she had left him. with a sigh he turned around and waded back across the river, then once he was with in range scooped up the body in his jaws.
He turned back and went to his pile of gold. He curled up next to the cold pile and faced the only entrance in to the cavern, well other than the magma magma cavities anyway. He lied the corpse on the ground then pinned it down with his claws. He bit down and tore the cadaver in half. The man's intestines where the only thing connecting the two halves. Not for long. soon that cave way too.he tossed the half a body in his mouth and bit down and crushed the mans ribs as easily as a man might bit down on a nut. He threw his head back and swallowed the mutilated hunk of flesh and bone.
Just then Dante re entered the room. "What, boy's face?" He asked, as he hadn't seen who she was talking about.

"I can't believe you didn't hear that," Dante said, a bewildered look upon her tan face. Dante once again made her way up to the outcropping that met with the dragon's face. She was having impulse problems again, she usually did when she had found something hillarious or she got excited in some way. This was a point where she usually just made herself disappear, but this time she didn't.
Dante beckoned the dragon to look at her, when he di md, if at all, she kissed him right on the snout. After doing that she rolled backwards in a fashion that would have done well to mimick a jester. She loved terrifying children.

He looked down and scooped up the rest of his meal as she complained. and swallowed the thief's bottom half whole. He did feel like chewing the rest of his food he just liked feeling the ribcage crack between his jaws. He shrugged at her comment. then she ran up to the out cropping.
Curious about the sudden silence he looked up and saw her beckoning. He moved his head closer and as her scent entered his nose many thoughts of what he'd like to do with her or to her filled his sadistic mind. Not all the thoughts where sadistic some where more... erotic? Sudenly she kissed him. He jerked his head back in surprise. As she rolled backward. "What was that for?" Heasked not really considering if he wanted an answer.

"I am very happy right now," Dante explained as she hopped around happily. She spun a few times on her toes and giggled. She was just like any other girl at this very moment. If he had seen the opprotunity, Bloodwing could have easily killed her or done something else to her.
How insane she must have looked. Dante was dancing and singing. Oh how her voice sounded other worldly in this tone. She spun around a few more times before creating a light ribbon and dancing with that. She looked down right goofy dancing but she was having so much fun it would be hard to stop her.
"C'mon, I know you can change into a human, Dance with me!" She called out happily.

Happy? She was insane is what she was. She then began dancing, and singing. She had to be mad. There was no other explanation. Maybe the sulfuric fumes where getting to her. He watched her dance for a bit and then she asked him to join in.
He found himself grinning and walking across the magma river. (Note: he can not smile in dragon form) In human form he walked on lava like a skimmer might walk on water in a pond. As he did the flames that licked the surface of the magma began to cirgle and dance around him like dust in the wind. the danging flames followed him on to shore and opend just enough to let Dante in the ring of fire with out getting burned. He grabbed her left hand in his right and grabbed her hip with his left. "You really want to dance with a dragon?" he asked feeling his one sanity ebb away like the tides.

"I can't think of anything more perfect," she said with a grin as she kept close to him in a waltz form. Her hands were scarred but soft, it was merely her fingertips that held the callouses. Dante's plesantly happy smile stayed on her face as they began to dance. What music was required when there was the music of the cave? The roaring of the lava ring, the sound of the sulfur gysers and the sound of water dripping about.
On it's own, Bloodwing's cave was a symphony. Dante, although she was by some standards insane, was growing in a bit to her dislike to like the dragon. Dante had no companions and other humans were just too stupid and too easily made into a frenzied panic to deal with. In some respects, the word 'like' was too weak of a word. Dante loved the smell of blood, the smell of sulfur. She loved the smell of death. She found it to be artisticly beautiful. How death was all around, how death was confused with love. No, love and death were exactly the same thing to her.

His cave, to human's was much like the depths of hell. It couldn't be all to hard to imagine being in that realm of the dead. However this hell was wonderfully insane. the world was insane Dante had lost her mind and so had he. He liked the way she was turning out to be and he hadn't even tried teaching her anything she was just naturally in tune with the way he thought.
He knew there was such a thing as half dragons and indeed this is how such parentage started but it hadn't happened to one of his breed in any of the centuries he'd been around. Love was a foolish emotion. but this was something different it had to be. He saw bloodlust in those eyes and oh how he wished there had been more than one human in his cave.
"I believe I Owe you something." he said with an an crazy grin. With out stopping his feet he pressed his lips to hers. It wasn't love it was lust, and for some insane reason this dragon liked this woman. Maybe it was just the moment but who in this hell cared.

Dante felt those hot lips against hers and without missing a beat either, Dante's arms snaked their way up around the Dragon's human form and stopped behing his head in a caressing gesture. She kissed the dragon back. To many, this would have been the ultimate in insanity, falling for a dragon? Unheard of. Some of the oddest couples though were made through personality matches.
Dante had no care that this was a dragon she was dancing with, in his human form, Bloodwing was actually quite a sight to see. His red clothes mimicking that of a noble were severely contrasted by her tan clothing of a traveler. Dante could just feel the lust pour from Bloodwing, it was like tasting something rare and delicious to her.
Dante's teal eyes opened and a flamboyant but sadistic glee filled them. "Tell me now, if you have any annoying fans of the sort," she began, her velvet voice echoing, "if you do, might I have the pleasure of killing them in your midst?" she asked, gripping her hand so tightly her nails cut into her hand. She ran her hand across his strong and dark face, if this didn't make the dragon go crazy, nothing would.

He was living the moment. He remember the first day they had met, she had been trying so hard to act uninterested in him. Tried to make him taste humility. Now, she was closer to worshiping him than any human had ever come. Her attention to his presence was euphoric to his sadistic, attention loving mind. Whether she knew it or not she was now his. If anyone Dante to over power her he would hunt them down until he tasted their blood, as he would do for any of the treasures in his horde. For that was what she was a rare treasure that was his and only his.
He listened to her speak and smiled and was about to answer when a new scent touch his nose. She had cut her hand on her own finger nails, and he could smell, and feel the warm, metallic liquid she was wiping on his cheek. His mind was racing and his heart began beating faster. He was on the brink of a frenzy.
His eyes caught a glimpse of a stalagmite sticking out of the ground behind her. He began to move forward he wanted her pinned to that pillar of stone so she couldn't escape. Not until he was done with her at least. His mind was clouded with her scent. He would have his way. She was his. He kissed her again.
