The busy and loud crowd was almost a relief for Tiy as she weaved her way between the people and the shouting salesmen. She had been cooped up in the inn for far too long and stretching her legs and getting out and about felt good for her. Jez tagged along after her and sniffed here and there. She turned to smile at him and told him not to harm anyone while they were in the market. He almost seemed to sigh and hang his head, but she knew that she had him understanding. She spun around to look around the market and then decided to head to the City Square to get out of the large crowd and maybe look at some shoppes in the town.
She came across a bakery and decided and tart of some sort wouldn't be so bad right now and she gave the man a coin as she took the tart, but he refused and said it was free. She asked him why and he said, with a hearty laugh, that his daughter had gotten engaged the night before, and he was in a right gay mood. She smiled and thanked him, after congratulating him and waved as she walked off. She looked down at Jez as she took a seat on a large stairway leading up to a building. "You know... I don't think it'd be a bad idea to stick around here, Jez. The people are friendly and it's time we find a place to settle down for a while..." She let him lick her hand and then she finished off the last bite of the raspberry tart, licking the frosting from her lips.
She looked over and saw a wishing fountain at the center of the large court-yard that was the City Square. There was a young man sitting there playing some game with his buddies and she smiled. So there were kids in this town. Maybe forming a school here wouldn't be so difficult. She leaned back on the steps and watched them with a small smile and one of them spotted the large wolf traveling with Tiy and they walked over.
"'Scuse us, ma'm. May we pet your dog?" the one in the brown cap asked. She smiled and nodded. Telling them that he was actually a wolf she got as a pup. One of them commented on his size and she laughed lightly.
"Yea. He is quite large for just a wolf... but he can be gentle when it comes to some attention..." She watched them as Jez laid down and let them soak him in loving and pets. She sighed lightly and sat up, hugging her knees and looked around a bit, taking in the large, very heavily populated city. 'Maybe this will be home for a while...'

Senion was walking through the city square when he spotted a girl sitting alone. "Hey why not have a little conversation while I am out." he thought as he walked towards the stairs.
As he drew near he spotted a wolf by her side and his hand naturally went to one of his daggers. No he thought and brought his hand out wide to scratch his head. His cloak still covered most of him yet it was making him sweat in the afternoon sun. Senion decided to push it back to behind his shoulders.
Senion sat one the steps about a yard away from the girl. "Nice day for site seeing ain't it?" he said in somewhat of a shaky voice. After all he didn't talk to girls that much.
As a matter of fact he didn't talk to many people in his line of work. Hunting down monsters and exiles didn't give him that kind of experience. Although it did give him many scars up and down his body.

Tiy watched as the boys played with Jez and she smiled. It was just something about children that she loved. She wasn't sure what it was, but maybe it was their air of innocence. She pulled a ball from her sack she had with her and gave it to the smallest of the boys who must have been eight. His bright blue eyes stuck out from his dirty face and dark hair and she smiled at him. "You just give this a toss and Jez will play with you for hours." The little boy nodded and gave a timid toss that landed just a few meters away. Jez, however, saw his favorite ball go flying and chased after it. She laughed with joy as the boys chased after Jez around the fountain to get the ball back.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw a man, with scars, coming towards her. He had already petted Jez on the head and she thought that he may be one of the boy's fathers, but she wasn't to assume. He sat down on a step next to her and he asked if it seemed like a nice day for site-seeing. She smiled back at him and nodded. "It is indeed, sir. Among other things. I just arrived to the city and was seeing how good of a place it could be to settle down for a while..."
Something about his wearing a cloak on a hot day was confusing to her, but she didn't say anything. She waved her hand at her neck, trying to cool down a little and smiled at the stranger again as Jez ran around the fountain with the eager boys behind him for what easily could have been the one hundredth time. She held out a hand to the man. "I'm Tiy, Mage and Professor." She knew it was a bit out there, but she figured that she was going to hold a conversation with the man, she might as well make her name known and possibly learn his.
"Come on Doggie!" The littlest boy said patting his leg as he sat on the edge of the fountain. Jez stopped and walked over, dropping the ball into the boy's lap. The boy patted Jez's head, called him a good boy and then handed the ball to his brother to throw it farther this time.

Senion cringed a bit. She had called him sir. He knew that to human standards he was getting to an old age. To his blood line he was still just a child. His old mentor had taught him once that if he had been living in a village with his own people he would never had been permitted to leave. Not until a Wood Elf was of the age of 60 were they to go on their first hunt. Senion knew he was about thirty years away from that age, but he he was already a more than worthy fighter.
"I too am new to this grand city" Senion replied "Although I was born here all that I know is what I have learned in the few days since my arrival." he continued.
This girl had reached her hand out in greeting and spoke her name. Senion's hand came out from his cloak. It was a gnarled looking thing covered in scars and callused patches of skin. His bronze skin seemed almost unnatural, but it was a part of his heritage. His hand caught hers and he shook it. "I am Senion Boh, Bounty Hunter and Mercenary" Senion's reply came in a rough voice.
His hand released from hers, but did not retract into his cloak. Instead it opened the dark colored thing up. Drawing open it revealed the large axe strapped to his back, the many daggers that lined his belt, the short bow and quiver that hung at his side, and many other miscellaneous adventuring gear that he carried. Not only all that but the unique leather cuirass that covered his torso.
"As you can see I prepare for much" Senion said with a small chuckle.

Tiy heard him say that he was born here and she wondered how it must have felt being born in such a grand a city as this where the buildings seemed to scratch the bellies of the clouds that were moving along the blue sky. She smiled to him and nodded as he continuned and when she introduced herself, he gave his name and position. A bounty hunter? Hmm.. that would make for an interesting line of work.
As he shook her hand, his hands were rough and scratched, but the dark color was almost pretty. It was dark, certainly, but not as black as the dark elves or those of darker skin from the west; when he stopped the friendly shake, he drew back the cloak so show his impressive collection of daggers and his ax. She smiled and when he said that he prepared for much.
"I can see that! And a very impressive collection you have there, Senion Boh! She smiled lightly and gave a light laugh. "I have just my hands to defend myself, but it has not failed me yet!" As she spoke, she heard a light thump, followed by a quiet gasp. She looked over and saw that one of the little boys, the littlest one that was throwing the ball, had fallen on the coble street and scrapped up his knee. He was now sitting on the ground, while his siblings and playmates were busy chasing the dog around. "Excuse me a moment Senion..." She stood up gracefully and walked over to the little boy hugging his leg and crying quietly. She knelt down and he looked up at her, she smiled lightly. "Now.. you want to see something cool...?" he nodded wiping some tears away and she held out her hand. She muttered a short spell and a small dancing figure made of fire appeared on her hand and began to dance and flip around.
The little boy laughed and watched and she cleaned up his cut with her other hand and bandaged it. As the small figure sat down the boy smiled and waved at them as he ran off to catch up with this playmates. Tiy smiled and stood, blowing out the small fire figure and then walked back over to where Senion was seated. She smiled down at him, not quite sure what to say...

Kina walked into the bakery and sat himself down in a chair. He threw some coins at the man and got some cookies. He nibbled on one while deep in thought. These are good cookies, he thought, and chewed slowly. A puzzling thought entered his mind. What flavour is this?!?!, he thought and stared at the man. "Chocolate chip with almonds" the man replied, seeming to have read Kina's thoughts. Kina picked up a bag and put the cookies inside. He slung it over his shoulder and walked out of the store.
