Adrienne rode up near the entrance to Avaren, she dismounted and gazed up at the walls once her home long ago. She thought it strange that she had returned to the place where she sort of began, her reason for coming back was twofold. She had a feeling that coming back was what she was supposed to do, and she wanted to see it again. To see if anything had changed and perhaps find some work. She removed the blanket from the horse's back and placed it in her napsack. Turning to the horse she spoke "Thank you for the ride, oh wild horse you can return to your herd." The horse neighed of course thanks to her ring she could understand the horse "You welcome Adrienne, and thank you for helping my herd, call me if you ever need me again." the horse said before turning and galloping. She watched the horse run before turning to the walls walking forward to the entrance.

Waiting, arms behind his back with thumbs locking his hands just above his waist, another familiar soul to the walls and streets of the city stood. Tall, lean, and with a proud gait, strode a young man in his early twenties with dirty blonde hair and slate blue eyes. He wore a tunic and sash of deep navy and rich pine green, tall black leather boots to his knees and a hooded cloak that framed him. A longsword, in its sheath, gently curved down from his left hip. He seemed engrossed at the architecture and life of the crowd that filled the passageway of the Grand Entrance. But he was certainly there for many a purpose and one of those had just rode up and dismounted. He had already spotted her instantly, but made no sign that he noticed...

It was a beautiful day. A day where someone could lose themselves in the clear, azure sky. A good day to walk about as a free man. After the indignities of the past, it made Rith enjoy the freedom and beauty of nature even more so. A feat he had thought impossible. With a spring in his step, Rith explored the city as he would frequently do. Allowing him to get lost in the twists and turns of this urban jungle. Every sight, every sound, they were new and yet familiar all at the same time.
After perusing the streets for what felt like an eternity, Rith found himself in view of the massive gates which separated Avaren from the rest of the world. He had walked in and out of them many times before, but for some reason, he had never realized just how immense they were. He paused a moment in awe as he watched people trickle in. Picking his pace back up, Rith thought this was a good place to do a little people-watching, perhaps even get acquainted with some of the new arrivals. After all, he was going to be living with most of them in this city and it never hurt to be neighborly.
Though, as he began to approach, his slapped-together plans quickly derailed. Squinting his eyes and shielding his brow from the sun, Rith looked into the crowd with a focused gaze. Did his eyes deceive him, or was his good friend, Alezand amongst the collective people-herd? Then, after his suspicions were validated, Rith smiled brightly and proceeded to approach him.
"Good day, Alezand!" the Animist greeted emphatically, waving his arm enthusiastically as he continued to close the gap between him and Alezand.

This greeting did catch the soldier by surprise. He had not seen the mage approaching, in fact he had not seen the man for a good deal of time. But this was a welcome surprise, as they were old friends. Alezand practically beamed at the sight of Rith and quickly strode through the throng to meet him.
"Rith, I must concur on the fact of seeing you again. It has been far too long. What brings you out to the edge of town on this day?" inquired Alezand as he extended his right hand in greeting. So now two of his allies had coincidentally arrived at the city once more, just as his instincts this morning alerted him so. He had such a interesting notion that he would find something familiar and pleasing out in the commons today that he could not ignore it. He had to remark to himself on his fortune today....

"Oh you know; taking in the town, people-watching, and whatnot. What about yourself?" Rith replied clasping Alezand's hand, delivering a hearty handshake to his good friend. Though, no sooner had he responded than another familiar face approached them, asking to join their conversation. Her name escaped him at the moment, though if memory served, wherever she was, Alezand was sure to be somewhere nearby somewhat like a little lost puppy. Regardless, any friend of Alezand's was a friend of Rith's. So, no reason to not let her join in.
"Not at all, Miss. Welcome." Rith replied, turning his attention to her. Slightly moving his feet so that they formed more of a triangle and so they all had their space. "I must say, it is good to see so many familiar faces, despite how much the kingdom has changed over time." Rith stated openly. It really did warm his heart to know he wasn't alone in this city amongst complete strangers.

Adrienne nodded recognizing the other man but his name escaped her but she knew he was a friend of Alezand's and any friend of his was a friend of hers "Wy thank you Sir." she said stepping closer. Adrienne nodded at the comment "It is good to be back to see all these changes in the town system and of course I too am glad to see both of you again after all that journeying I missed the company of others." she said chuckling.

Occ sorry for the delay, been very busy
IC: Turning to the blonde female approaching, Alezand, to the casual on looker was passive, equally neutral and open to the newcomer. But most certainly something was stirring inside the man. As equal to his trust in Rith, was his loyalty and duty to this woman. A time ago, it seemed ages, but it had only been months, truly they had been close. Very close. But events unfolded that none of the present party could've foreseen or prevented. It separated the group of valiant, defiant fighters that Alezand was partly responsible for. But it also paused this, a simple relationship, innocent and kind, born in the trembles of the violence that had grasped the kingdom. And again, said events are of rumor at the moment, for no one who was involved was talking yet and thus know one knew.
But still, the refreshing feeling that washed over him was one of the truest he had ever felt. Loyaly, camaraderie and yes, thats the word for it, love. Love of his good friend Rith, for his steadfast heart and upbeat personae. And love of Adrienne, for her faultless friendship and caring for a rough, less than handsome, and often in trouble, soldier who was as often cryptic as he was not present. Which was often.
But this was going to be short lived, he could already sense, this good moment in the common life. They indeed needed to discuss what had happened and what was to happen. Who else was left of their band of brothers, and what was the situation of the Kingdom now? Where did they all stand?
Alezand just simply smiled at her. First, just a plain warm smile, that eventually broke into a broad grin that displayed his still well timed mischievousness. Yes the times have been tough, but one needed to celebrate event the small victories. Or else go mad. "Do purpose we go find a n establishment and discuss all about what has happened, for I am very curious. I do not know all the detail, mind, since I too was well engaged..."
OCC: hey guys, we need to come up with a plot of events that bridge our last posts in the previous site. Tim wants me to come up with a story to fill in the gaps before he builds the Rapaere village board for me to run. Rith, since your character wasn't active much at the end of the last site, I know, you won't factor much directly of events, but since your an non intruding, well traveled person, you can help fill in the details, like a bard, Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy!. Adrienne, we need to figure out how your abduction went and what happened to the ambush set for me at the castle. cool?

OOC: So sorry for dropping in, but its Adrienne and Alezand, from what i remember Napeir had been friends with Adrienne and Alezand in Avaren 2 so i just had to say hi :3
IC:Napeir walked down the road casually, it was just his day. His cat had gone missing again, and he got robbed by a bandit. He had not been out of town in awhile and was in the mood for a stroll. His life had been on the down fall since he had gone to train himself in the Dark Forest, everything seemed against him. Sighing he approached the Grand Entrance to the town, its archway hovering far above his reach. About to walk through the gate some voices caused him to stop, they sounded familiar to him, yet so distant. Glancing around the corner he saw two men and one woman chatting. He peered closer, he knew two of them he was positive but he had to make sure. Running for an alley way that twisted around to near their location he charged down it, stopping alittle ways form the corner. He sat there listening to their voices as they talked, he knew their voices somewhere, he dug through his memories until he thought they would never be found. Then it hit him, Adrienne, he had met her near her house, before she got captured. He was told to run from her house and tell Alezand. Then other face hit him, it had to be odd for him ot be so close to this town, after what all had happened. He stepped out from the alley, he didn't want to cause a commotion. He stopped a few feet from them and addressed them. "Afternoon Alezand ,Glad to see that your back, Adrienne" he said casually

ooc: glad of you to drop in Oh, why that does indeed tickle my fancy!..yep they were friends ic: Adrienne turned in the direction of the voice a big smiled grew on her face as she recognized both the voice and person, Napeir, it had been so long since she'd seen him, just before being kidnapped. He had been very brave trying to protect her she was grateful towards him for sticking by her side till she told him to run and tell Alezand. He had fought along side her so she felt a certain kinship towards him as one always feels when they fight alongside someone "Napeir, long time no see." she said

the coincidence was uncanny. All the players of the events that had transpired those months. Despite his pleasure to have his allies all back, though, he had the tugging urge to move this grouping to more discreet location where details could be cleared up. Was the danger gone yet? How did Adrienne escape? Where had Rith been all this time? Did Napier know what happened to Tyanno, Shadow and the others? "Come on my friends, lets move down the merchants lane to have a sip at the tavern. I'll get the first round." He turned and led the way down the familiar winds and turns of the cobblestone roads, passing the carts and throngs along the way. Everything seemed normal, the shouts and yells of passing people. Not a hint of the trouble that plagued the city before. Unfortunately, his last mission had led him to be cut off from his contacts and intelligence. He had no clue what was the state of things. All he remembered clearly was the ambush at the castle...

Napeir once again held his greetings with Adrienne with a nod and a smile, he was happy to see her again. The events that had played out so far ago was still a clear image in his head, and the battle that he had fought with Adrienne was burned into his head. She had fought with all the might of at least 40 Warriors and with the skills of some of the best Mages, she was someone you could learn from. Turning to Alezand he nodded at his offer, a drink was something he knew oh so well. Sadly the thought that his friends were all missing from his view and contact drove him half insane.
" and I the second" he said at the offer, with a light cheer.
